CEDAR RAPIDS, IA — May 26, 2026 — BankIowa today announced plans to open its newest bank office location at 504 39th Ave, Amana, IA 52203, establishing a physical presence in Iowa County for the first time. The new branch, which will occupy a prominent community facility previously utilized by US Bank, represents a strategic extension of BankIowa’s footprint within the economically vibrant Iowa Corridor market.
Scheduled to officially open its doors in September of 2026, the Amana Colonies branch will bring BankIowa’s signature brand of personalized, community-focused financial services offering traditional deposit and consumer checking accounts as well as supporting the region’s extensive agricultural operators and local businesses.
"We are exceptionally proud and excited to bring BankIowa to Iowa County and to partner directly with the historic Amana community," said Alison Urbina, Chief Executive Officer of BankIowa. "This expansion is a natural milestone in our Corridor growth strategy, allowing us to introduce our relationship-driven banking philosophy to a market that values local commitment and stability. The Amana Colonies represent a rare blend of rich cultural heritage, robust tourism, and thriving commercial and agricultural enterprises. We look forward to opening our doors this autumn, welcoming new neighbors, and providing the tailored financial solutions that help local families, business owners, and farmers prosper."
By establishing a branch in the building previously operated by US Bank, BankIowa ensures that critical, localized financial infrastructure remains active and accessible to the Amana community.
Further details regarding grand opening festivities, branch hours, and local staffing appointments will be released as the September 2026 launch date approaches.
